How Does Coaching Work?

Coaching is a partnership between the coach and client in a thought-provoking, creative process that inspires and supports the client to maximize their potential to accomplish personal and/or professional goals (ICF).

Coaching is different from consulting (professional advice) and different from therapy (medical treatment). Coaching is a client-driven, co-created process.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes every one to two weeks, but frequency and duration can vary.
While one-off conversations may be helpful, growth takes time. For this reason, the minimum recommended length of an engagement is six months, for individuals, teams, and organizations.
